U.S. a Secular State?

Last night we were watching CNN and they ran a quote across the screen that President Obama apparently made yesterday. He said, "The U.S. is not a country of Christians, Muslims, or Jews. We are a country of Citizens."

I guess he forgot how our country was founded. Maybe he hasn't looked at some of the buildings across town where God's name is written and where He is acknowledged as the Almighty. Maybe he even forgot why we as a country celebrate Thanksgiving. America was once a great country where speaking of God (the God of the Bible) and Christ was commonplace. Today it is virtually forbidden in governmental buildings and discussions. I fear what the country will be like when Obama leaves office. Not that I fear the future, but fear the consequences of such iniquity.

His obvious goal is for America to be a secular state, to become another Europe. A Europe where God's name is intentionally left out of all government constitutions, documents, and discussion. A Europe where everything is tolerated except truth itself.

May we take this time to pray for our President. To pray for his salvation, his decision-making, and his leadership.
